Full disclosure: I used to work at Metropolis as an assistant. The stunning Powerhouse building itself casts a huge presence on tracking sessions here. It's so imposing that it can really bring out the elusive "vibe" factor in a tracking session. That said, I can also imagine, shy artists possibly finding this a little too much, and preferring a smaller more intimate surrounding. Good luck getting into Studio C; as it's on almost permanent lockout. But should you have the opportunity this is probably the best mix room in the facility. the Neve console sounds fantastic and there's a great collection of outboard to patch into. The vocal booth off to the side is a decent size, and could even be used for quick guitar or bass overdubs. However, the separation from this room and one or two of the mastering rooms isn't perfect.
