It's all about ears.
Name: Logan Wilson

Review:
It sounds obvious but some people just have the ears and some don't. Mastering is pretty complex as a process if you start reading up on it. The top mastering engineers get paid thousands for basically tweaking your mix a bit. That should go some way towards explaining what a vital job it is. I've never known anyone so tirelessly obsessed with keeping up to date with the minutiae of this quite frankly, tedious subject! Harvey reads the books so you don't have to.

That extra bit of sparkle
Name: Steve Finn

Review:
No matter how good the mix, Harvey always manages to find that extra bit of magic. A lot of places say they can offer mastering but the result is often just a loudness boost. The equipment, skills and experience at Broadoak Studios all come together to create sympathetic mastering that enhances the music.
