SNK Studios recently opened their new studio complex on Tottenham Court Road. Previously located just round the corner in the Soho Studios building, the three new studios, combined with edit and track-laying facilities, cater for a wide range of audio work, including music recording and production, voice-over recording, ISDN interviews, TV and radio post-production and broadcast marketing.
Studio Manager, Sam Dillon, told us, ‘These top-end rooms are all finished in gorgeous American oak, they boast fantastic sounding live rooms and benefit from natural light and fresh air throughout. A rare commodity in central London! Client computers in every room add to the feel of a modern, client-focused facility.
‘SNK is run by a fantastic team of producers, engineers and support staff whose job it is to make sure projects run smoothly and efficiently and who ensure that artists are as comfortable and relaxed as possible. The gear is, of course, cutting edge, with Pro Tools HD systems in every room, the best Neumann microphones, huge sound effects libraries and two ISDN systems with all the standard codecs for remote broadcast and voice-over recording. A newly installed CAT5 network system links the whole facility together and the reception area on the second floor is perfect for client meetings with TV, Xbox, free WiFi and refreshments – including a lot of sweets!’
